Auscare House is a 21 room independent living hostel providing supported accommodation in a secure and homely environment for persons with intellectual or psychiatric disabilities, who are seeking both a private and comfortable lifestyle.
Clients need to be physically able and self-caring on a personal level.
We provide:
We provide a drug and alcohol free environment. Smoking is not permitted inside the house, - there are several outside areas to smoke.We aim to provide privacy, peace, dignity and especially autonomy for our residents whilst still providing them with support, as they need it.
The various RSP programs on the coast are actively involved with our residents. Our GP visits as required and referrals can be made to other outside agencies as required.
We attained a 100% accreditation, in all 3 levels, from OFT in August 06 – valid for 3 years, and are licensed for 26 residents.
